AmeriCare Medical Partners with Oakland University to Honor Michigan’s Top Nurses at the 2024 Nightingale Awards
AmeriCare Medical, Inc. and their home care company, QCN Home Health Care, partnered with Oakland University School of Nursing to sponsor the 36th Nightingale Awards for Nursing Excellence. This annual gathering brings together hundreds of healthcare professionals to celebrate the exceptional contributions of nurses across Michigan. This year, the spotlight shone on ten Nightingale award recipients, selected from a pool of nearly 150 nominees.
Greg Jamian, AmeriCare Medical President, attended the ceremony and presented the award for Post-Acute Care and Specialty Nursing. This award is presented to a nurse who delivers effective nursing care in a specialized setting while demonstrating leadership to promote high-quality, compassionate nursing care practices. As a leading provider of post-acute healthcare services statewide, AmeriCare Medical took great pride in sponsoring and presenting this award to Amy Sweet of Michigan Medicine. Jamian also holds a position on the board of Oakland University School of Nursing.
“This award ceremony is like the Academy Awards for the nursing profession, representing the highest honor given to nurses,” said Jamian. “It serves as recognition for individuals whose exceptional contributions have made a profound impact in the healthcare field.”
AmeriCare Medical was well represented at the event, with seven employees in attendance, including three of their nurses: Maggie Jess, Rachel Carlson, and Laura Bellinger, who were honored as AmeriCare Medical’s “Nightingale Nurses” for their exemplary service.
AmeriCare Medical and its subsidiaries have been an award-winning employer of the nursing field for over 40 years, and today they proudly employ over 250 healthcare professionals across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, government facilities, assisted living centers, and private residences throughout Michigan.
